Shock Absorbers Feet

Rubber feet, also known as rubber bumpers or anti-vibration mounts, are mechanical components designed to absorb shocks, vibrations, and noise generated by equipment or structural contact.
They consist of a vulcanized rubber base permanently bonded to a metal insert, typically a steel disk with an integrated screw or threaded stud.
The direct rubber-to-metal vulcanization process ensures strong adhesion at the interface, preventing delamination under dynamic loads or harsh conditions. These elements are widely used in industrial applications as support feet, mechanical stops, or vibration isolators.

Description

Shock absorbers and feet from Barbieri Rubber are essential components for reducing vibrations and noise in industrial machines and technical installations. Made entirely of high-performance rubber, they provide stability and protect both equipment and surfaces. These components help maintain the precision and efficiency of machinery over time.

These vibration dampers are easy to install thanks to pre-drilled holes for screws or rivets. The elastic structure absorbs shocks and vibrations effectively, preventing damage to machines and improving operational comfort. They also reduce transmission of vibrations to surrounding structures, ensuring a quieter and safer environment.

Insulating feet are ideal for applications in laboratories, presses, machine tools, compressors, pumps, and sensitive electronic devices. Their shock-absorbing capacity protects machinery and prolongs component life. They also prevent unwanted movements and maintain alignment, which is crucial for high-precision equipment.

Barbieri Rubber offers both standard shock absorbers and feet and customized solutions, adaptable to different shapes, diameters, and load capacities. The choice of rubber type and hardness allows adjustment of rigidity and vibration absorption, ensuring optimal performance. Each solution is designed to meet specific operational requirements and improve machine longevity.

In addition to vibration reduction, shock-absorbing feet protect support surfaces from scratches and wear. This makes them suitable for delicate floors, sensitive environments, and applications with high aesthetic requirements. Their durability and elasticity allow long-term use even under heavy loads and harsh conditions.

Elastic feet from Barbieri Rubber can be combined with gaskets, pads, and cable glands. This creates a complete solution for machine protection and isolation, reducing multiple vibrations and increasing safety and performance.

With extensive experience in rubber design and molding, Barbieri Rubber guarantees high-quality shock absorbers and feet that are durable and reliable even in harsh conditions, reducing maintenance and operational costs while ensuring safety, efficiency, and long-term performance.

Additional information

APPLICATIONS

Rubber feet are used for support, but they are also used as vibration-damping pads designed to cushion shock from a moving mass. In the former case, they provide adhesion to the supporting surface and vibration damping that no other material can match. When used as end buffers, they provide excellent durability and flexibility.

MATERIALS

The standard material used in production is SBR rubber, which combines excellent mechanical and durability characteristics. Using other materials for production is to be considered in cases where the item will be used under abnormal conditions in terms of temperature or contact with aggressive substances.

PRODUCTION

The adhesion of rubber to metal comes from standard shock absorber production technology, composed of two screws, male or female, between which is interposed a disk of elastic polymer material that can damp down the vibrations of one part over another.
