Press-Fit Rubber Nails for Quick Fastening
Barbieri Rubber rubber nails are cylindrical-stem parts with an enlarged head, designed for quick press-fit fastening on holes in sheet metal, plastic or bodywork. They are catalog rubber components, available in multiple stem and head diameters and host-hole sizes. Elastic rubber allows force-fit insertion and elastic-recovery locking inside the hole.

What rubber nails are for
Rubber nails are used for fast fastening of accessories, covers, labels or small components on perforated surfaces, with no need for screws, nuts or adhesives. The enlarged head locks on the outer side, the elastic stem enters the hole and locks thanks to elastic recovery of the rubber. Typical on automotive, vehicle service equipment, technical furniture, industrial packaging and quick-assembly applications.
Catalog standard version and custom designs
The standard range of rubber nails covers the most requested stem and head diameters, with active tooling at Barbieri Rubber and no tooling cost for the customer. For special geometries, dedicated compounds or colors we produce nails on drawing: at least a preliminary drawing from the customer is required. The dedicated mold is manufactured in cooperation with our trusted toolmaking partners.

Yes, thanks to elastic rubber recovery in the hole. Retention depends on hole accuracy: tight tolerances improve retention, loose tolerances reduce it.
Can I order colored nails?
Yes. On request we produce nails in dedicated colors for visual identification or aesthetic reasons. Coloring is agreed at order stage.
